Amends Section 47-5-931 of Mississippi Code to authorize the Department of Corrections to contract with Forrest County and Wayne County for housing state inmates in their correctional facilities.

Allows the Department of Corrections to contract with county boards of supervisors or regional facilities to house state offenders, provided facilities meet American Correctional Association standards and comply with constitutional requirements.

Maintains existing requirement that if the Department contracts with multiple counties for non-regional facilities, the first shall be in Sharkey County and the second in Jefferson County.

Permits the Department to house up to 75 additional offenders in regional facilities beyond those authorized under other provisions.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
