Amends Section 25-41-3 of Mississippi Code to expand the definition of "public body" under the Open Meetings Act to include rural water associations, rural water systems, and nonprofit nonshare corporations chartered under the Mississippi Nonprofit Corporation Act for owning and operating rural waterworks.

Rural water associations and systems become subject to open meetings requirements, meaning their meetings must be open to the public unless specifically exempted.

Maintains existing exemptions from open meetings requirements for the judiciary, law enforcement, military, State Probation and Parole Board, Workers' Compensation Commission, legislative subcommittees, and other specified entities.

Effective date is July 1, 2025.
