MS SB2275

Directs the executive directors of the Department of Finance and Administration, Department of Information Technology Services, and Mississippi State Personnel Board to develop streamlined administration plans by November 1, 2025, including proposed organizational structures, position consolidations, and recommendations for shared services across state agencies.

Establishes the "State Task Force for Agency Reorganization" composed of two business leaders appointed by the Governor, one CEO each appointed by the Lieutenant Governor and Speaker, relevant legislative committee chairs, and the Finance and Administration executive director.

Requires the Task Force to conduct a comprehensive study of the executive branch organization structure and submit final recommendations and proposed legislation to the Governor and Legislature by October 1, 2026.

Authorizes the Task Force to employ research staff as needed and allows nonlegislative members to receive per diem compensation for meeting attendance and travel expenses.

Section 1 takes effect upon passage; Section 2 takes effect July 1, 2025.
