Suspends Workforce Enhancement Training Fund contributions when the insured unemployment rate (IUR) exceeds an average of 5.5% for the three consecutive months ending September 30th of the calendar year preceding the new rate year.

Maintains suspension of contributions until the IUR falls below an average of 4.5% for the three consecutive months ending September 30th of the calendar year preceding the next rate year.

Reactivates contributions effective on the first day of the rate year following the event that lifts the suspension.

Exempts tax rate year 2021 from any suspension of contributions for the Mississippi Office of Workforce Development Fund, Mississippi Works Fund, and Mississippi Workforce Enhancement Training Fund.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
