Amends Section 99-19-83 of the Mississippi Code to revise sentencing requirements for habitual violent offenders.

Changes the requirement so that both prior felony convictions must be crimes of violence (previously only one prior conviction needed to be a crime of violence).

Maintains the existing sentencing of life imprisonment without possibility of parole, probation, or early release for those meeting the revised criteria.

Applies to offenders with two prior felony convictions from separate incidents, each resulting in sentences of one year or more in state or federal prison.

Effective July 1, 2025.
