Convert the Greenwood, Flowood, Hinds County, and Pascagoula restitution centers to post-release reentry centers operated by the Department of Corrections.

Eligible persons for release including parolees and early release participants may be placed in post-release reentry centers for up to 90 days or until alternative housing is available, whichever is shorter, with no detention allowed for refusing placement.

Department of Corrections must provide comprehensive reentry support services including counseling, housing assistance, job training, education, healthcare, substance abuse treatment, and cognitive behavioral programs to center residents.

Residence restrictions under Section 45-33-25 do not apply to post-release reentry centers regardless of their location.

Repeals Sections 99-37-19 and 99-37-21 authorizing county and municipal restitution centers and Department of Public Welfare cooperation; brings forward multiple existing code sections for potential amendment regarding sheriff compensation, sex offender registration, and Department of Corrections operations.
