Converts four restitution centers (Greenwood, Flowood, Hinds County, and Pascagoula) to operate as prerelease reentry centers for inmates within one year of release.

Department of Corrections must provide supportive services including counseling, housing, employment training, healthcare, education, substance abuse treatment, and driver's licenses before release.

Repeals sections 99-37-19 and 99-37-21 authorizing county/municipal establishment of restitution centers and Department of Human Services cooperation at those centers.

Brings forward multiple existing code sections (25-3-25, 45-33-27, 45-33-35, 47-5-10, 47-5-26, 47-5-110, 47-5-194, 47-5-1207, 47-7-37) for possible amendment regarding sheriff duties, sex offender registration, corrections department functions, and probation violations.

Effective date: July 1, 2025.
