Establishes a pilot program for the 2025-2026 school year in 12 school districts (3 from each congressional district) requiring school resource officers to serve as mentors to support student academic performance and mental health outcomes.

Requires all agencies receiving Mississippi Community Oriented Policing Services (MCOPS) grants to send school resource officers to the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers' Training Academy for Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training or comparable training at another state-recognized academy.

Mandates beginning with the 2026-2027 school year that the MCOPS program provide a minimum of one grant for one school resource officer position in each school district.

Requires school resource officer training to include standard law enforcement training plus a specific curriculum developed by the State Department of Education covering mentoring students and developing relationships with school personnel, students, parents, guardians, and the local community.

Directs the State Department of Education to submit a report to the Legislature by October 1, 2026, regarding the pilot program results.
