MS SB2625

Amends Mississippi Code Section 23-15-573 to allow individuals who register to vote after the 30-day cutoff period but before election day to cast affidavit ballots on election day.

Requires poll managers to notify eligible individuals that they may cast an affidavit ballot and to allow them to mark a paper ballot upon execution of a written affidavit.

Affidavit ballot envelopes must include voter's complete name, address, phone number, statement of belief in registration status, and signatures of both voter and poll manager.

Requires election officials to maintain a secure system allowing voters to determine whether their affidavit ballots were counted and the reasons if not counted.

Takes effect July 1, 2025.
