County and municipal governments must provide the Secretary of State with polling place location information at least 90 days before general, primary, or special elections, and notify the office of any changes.

The Secretary of State must mail postcards to all registered voters showing their polling place location at least 30 days before any general, primary, or special election.

If a polling place location changes less than 30 days before an election, the updated postcards must be sent as soon as possible by certified mail.

The Secretary of State has authority to establish rules and regulations for postcard formatting.

Amendments to Sections 23-15-281 and 23-15-557 require county boards of supervisors and municipal governing authorities to report polling place locations as specified in the act, effective July 1, 2025.
