Commemorates the 30-year anniversary of the Mississippi Court of Appeals, which was statutorily created by the Legislature in 1994 to address the overwhelming backlog of appeals at the Mississippi Supreme Court.

The Court of Appeals was expanded from five to ten members during the 1994 legislative session and made nonpartisan, with judges elected during the 1994 general election and sworn in on January 3, 1995.

Over 30 years, the Court of Appeals issued over 15,365 merit opinions in a timely manner with an average decision time of 200 days, successfully resolving the backlog and sharing the appellate caseload.

Recognizes the contributions of initial and subsequent judges who served on the court, including several who advanced to the Mississippi Supreme Court and Federal Court of Appeals.

Extends legislative thanks to the judges and support staff of the Mississippi Court of Appeals for ensuring fair, impartial, and timely justice, and directs presentation of the resolution to the Chief Judge at appropriate ceremonies.
