East Rankin Academy Patriots boys soccer team won their first-ever MAIS Division II State Championship on February 13, 2025, defeating Heritage Academy 1-0 with the winning goal scored in the final 7 minutes.

Head Coach Reid Westover led the team to the championship in the program's first-ever appearance in a state championship game.

The 2025 roster consisted of 18 players: Andy Bowman, Cale Cotnam, Cole Cotnam, Austin Craig, Noah Craig, Channing Diveley, Jackson Fountain, Callan Hunt, Michael Kanengiser, Toler Logan, Jordan Porter, Hector Ramirez, Jon Riemann, Nic Riemann, Jonathan Soto, Chylen Williams, and Landyn Williams.

The resolution commends and congratulates the team, coaches, parents, and sponsors for bringing honor to East Rankin Academy and the State of Mississippi.

The resolution directs presentation to Coach Westover, Head of School Robyn Winstead, the East Rankin Academy Board of Directors, and the Capitol Press Corps.
