Jackson Prep Lady Patriots basketball team won back-to-back MAIS 6A State Championships, with the 2025 championship victory on February 2, 2025 against Presbyterian Christian with a final score of 37-29.

Head Coach Michael McAnally led the team to this achievement, which marks the first back-to-back championships for Jackson Prep in nearly 20 years.

The Lady Patriots overcame a tied halftime score by executing a strong second-half defensive strategy and outscored Presbyterian Christian 16-5 in the final moments, with key plays from Claire Crosby and junior Meg Barbour.

Senate resolution commends and congratulates the basketball team, coaches, administration, parents and sponsors for bringing honor to the school and State of Mississippi.

Resolution to be presented to Coach Michael McAnally and forwarded to Jackson Prep Headmaster Lawrence M. Coco III and the Board of Trustees.
