Extends the condolences of the Mississippi Senate to the family of Representative Charles Lemuel Young, Jr., who passed away on December 19, 2024, at age 62.

Young was a Democrat elected to four terms representing the 82nd District (Lauderdale County/Meridian), first elected in 2012 and following his father Charles L. Young, Sr., who served the same district from 1980-2009.

Served as Vice-Chairman of the House Corrections Committee and on the House Medicaid, Appropriations A, Ethics, and Public Health and Human Services committees.

Advocated for resources to Lauderdale County, human rights, and Mississippi's adoption of a modern state flag; also worked as a businessman in cosmetic sales at a firm founded by his grandfather.

Resolution directs presentation of condolences to the Young family and Capitol Press Corps.
