Commends and congratulates the Brookhaven High School Lady Panthers Girls Cross-Country Team and Head Coach Shannon Knott for winning the school's first 5A State Championship on November 2, 2024

Team won the MHSAA 5A State Title Meet at Choctaw Trails in south Jackson by defeating Corinth High by one point, with Brookhaven scoring 35 points and Corinth scoring 36 points

Breaking Corinth's streak of six consecutive state championships, the team roster consisted of six runners (four seniors and two sophomores) led by senior Natalie McKinney who finished first for the Lady Panthers in 21:40

Directs that the resolution be presented to Head Coach Shannon Knott, forwarded to Principal Shonique McLaurin and the Lincoln County Board of Education, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps
