Hancock High School girls golf team won the Class 6A State Championship at The Oaks Golf Club in Pass Christian, defeating runner-up Saltillo by 53 shots, with sophomore Karstyn Altese finishing first overall with a 144 total and senior Kenley Archer placing second with a 154 total.

Hancock High School boys golf team won the Class 6A State Championship at Mallard Pointe Golf Course in Sardis on October 29, 2024, finishing 16 strokes ahead of runner-up Saltillo, with senior Logan Jensen earning individual state champion honors and three Hancock players finishing in the top 10.

The resolution commends Coach Trevin Burge and both teams for their historic back-to-back state championship wins in consecutive weeks and acknowledges the support from school administrators, the athletic department, and The Club at Diamondhead.

The Mississippi Senate recognizes the sweep as a testament to the strength of Hancock High School's golf program and its display of teamwork, determination, and community pride.
