Extends condolences of the Mississippi Senate on the death of Anthony Bruce Dodgen, Alcorn State University tennis coach and mathematics instructor, who passed away on January 18, 2025

Coach Dodgen served as head tennis coach for both men's and women's teams for 21 years at ASU, achieving 12 SWAC Coach of the Year awards and 12 SWAC Championships

ASU tennis teams reached SWAC Championships in 18 of Dodgen's 21 seasons, with championship wins in 1999, 2000 (men's and women's), 2001, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2014

Prior to joining Alcorn State in 1996, Dodgen spent seven years at St. Aloysius High School in Vicksburg and ten years at Chamberlain-Hunt Academy, retiring from ASU in 2018
