Commends Chief John B. Pope III, Fire Chief of Collins, Mississippi, for serving as President of the Mississippi Firefighter's Association for six consecutive two-year terms from June 2, 2012, to June 1, 2024.

Recognizes Pope as the longest-serving elected President in the 101-year history of the Mississippi Firefighter's Association, established in 1923.

Credits Pope with increasing membership, more than tripling annual conference attendance, and improving the association's financial stability during his 12-year tenure as President.

Acknowledges Pope's legislative advocacy that resulted in passage of key bills including increased Death Benefit Trust Fund for firefighters and law enforcement officers, and construction enhancements at the Mississippi State Fire Academy.

Directs presentation of the resolution to Chief Pope and his family, the Mississippi Firefighter's Association, and the Capitol Press Corps.
