Germantown High School Mavericks won the MHSAA Class 7A State Championship by defeating Madison Central 69-52, marking the program's first state title in history.

The team finished the 2024-2025 season with a 29-5 record, achieving the program's first winning season and first state tournament appearance.

Senior Mike Williams, a Jackson State signee, led the championship game with 22 points; brothers Mike and Mason Williams both won state titles in MAIS and MHSAA organizations, making them among the first in Mississippi high school basketball history to accomplish this feat.

Head Coach Chris Love, in his third year, led the Mavericks through Region 2 competition described as the toughest district in the state before winning the state championship.
