Commemorates the legacy of Mississippi Representative Icey Day from Attala County on the 70th anniversary of his death on December 21, 1955.

Recognizes Icey Day as the "Father of the Mississippi Industries for the Blind," founded in 1942 through his legislative efforts to provide employment and training for visually impaired Mississippians.

Honors Day's service in the Mississippi House of Representatives representing Attala County, serving during the terms of 1915, 1932-1936, 1936-1940, 1944-1948, and 1948-1952.

Commends the Mississippi Industries for the Blind as the preferred employer of individuals who are blind or visually impaired throughout Mississippi.

Directs the resolution be presented to the Executive Director of the Mississippi Industries for the Blind, the Governor, and the Icey W. Day Memorial Building at MIB.
