Appropriates $156,842 from Capital Expense Fund to Office of Attorney General for FY 2025 to cover legal assistance, expert witness fees, court costs, judgments and settlements, including $50,000 for Curtis Flowers v. State of Mississippi and $50,000 for Eddie Lee Howard v. State of Mississippi.

Appropriates $1,185,000 from Capital Expense Fund to Office of Attorney General for FY 2026 for similar legal expenses, including $350,000 for Department of Justice CRIPA investigation of Mississippi Department of Corrections and $300,000 for Alexander v. Hall litigation.

Appropriates $4,314,425 from State General Fund to Department of Corrections for FY 2025 medical program expenses and $14,000,000 from Capital Expense Fund for FY 2026 to replace the offender tracking system.

Appropriates $4,091,381 from Capital Expense Fund to Mississippi State Department of Health for FY 2026 for legal expenses related to City of Jackson Water litigation.

Appropriates $27,425,298 from State General Fund to Department of Child Protection Services for FY 2026 for operational expenses including increased child custody cases, foster care, and adoption subsidies; $47,548,707 to Department of Mental Health for FY 2025 operational expenses; $826,333 to Department of Education for FY 2025 National Board salary supplements; plus additional funds for other agencies.
