West Lauderdale High School Knights won the Mississippi High School Athletics Association (MHSAA) Class 4A Baseball State Championship, their first title since 2021 and 16th overall (most in MHSAA history)

Team finished 32-7 and won the championship series against Purvis High School with a 3-2 victory in Game 3 on May 23, 2025, at Trustmark Park

Sophomore pitcher Rylan Kennedy earned series MVP honors by throwing six innings with eight strikeouts, one hit allowed, and no runs in the final game

House of Representatives commends the team, including 25 players, 4 coaches (Jason Smith, Jody Hurst, Dustin Hamrick, Kameron Partridge), and 2 managers for exemplifying excellence and sportsmanship
