Requires Mississippi public high school students, beginning with the ninth-grade class of 2029-2030, to earn one credit in computer science or a career and technical education (CTE) course with embedded computer science before graduation

Computer science credit can satisfy either one mathematics credit (excluding Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II) or one science credit (excluding biology and one physical science requirement) for a traditional diploma

Mandates that qualifying courses include instruction on emerging computer science technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, covering what AI is, how it works, and its societal impact

Expands the definition of "computer science" under Mississippi law to explicitly include artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies

Takes effect July 1, 2026, and does not increase the total number of state-required credits for graduation
