Authorizes Mississippi sheriffs and deputies to use radar speed detection devices on public roads outside municipal limits solely for enforcing speed limits in school zones marked with caution blinking lights

Amends existing law that previously restricted radar use to the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol, municipal law enforcement in cities over 2,000 population, and campus police at colleges with over 2,000 students

Requires all fine revenue from school zone speed violations to be used by counties for school safety purposes, specifically funding school resource officers or safety training for school faculty and staff

Takes effect July 1, 2026
