Allows defendants to post a cash deposit of at least 10% of the total bail amount instead of a surety or property bond, provided they meet Mississippi Rules of Criminal Procedure conditions and execute a sworn affidavit of eligibility

Requires court clerks to provide defendants with written notice of all bail options before accepting any bail payment, including a standardized "Notice of Bail Options" form

The notice form must detail the full bail amount, reduced cash deposit option, and estimated costs for using a professional bail agent (10% premium plus $50 per bond for Mississippi residents, 15% plus $50 for out-of-state residents, with $150 minimum)

Defendants using a professional bail agent must post a bond equal to one-fourth of the full bail amount or the reduced cash deposit amount, whichever is greater

Takes effect July 1, 2026
