State required to pay 50% of health insurance costs for eligible dependents of full-time state and school employees, in addition to existing 100% coverage for employees themselves

Applies to employees of state agencies, local school districts, colleges, universities, community/junior colleges, and public libraries

Employees will pay the remaining 50% of dependent coverage costs through salary deductions

Employer agencies must also contribute 50% of dependent coverage costs from appropriated funds, deposited into the State Treasury or designated depository bank

Extends the repealer date for Section 25-15-15 from July 1, 2026 to July 1, 2029; effective date is July 1, 2026
