Reauthorizes Mississippi's Caller ID Anti-Spoofing Act by bringing forward existing code sections without substantive changes, effective July 1, 2026

Prohibits knowingly transmitting misleading or inaccurate caller identification information with intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain something of value

Exempts law enforcement agencies, federal intelligence/security agencies, and telecommunications providers acting solely as transmission intermediaries from the anti-spoofing requirements

Violations constitute a misdemeanor punishable by fines up to $1,000, jail time up to one year, or both

Violations also trigger penalties under the Mississippi Consumer Protection Act (unlawful trade practice) and the Mississippi Telephone Solicitation Act
