Amends Section 67-1-5 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to revise the definition of "qualified resort area" under the Local Option Alcoholic Beverage Control Law

Adds item 44 to the list of qualified resort areas, describing a specific parcel of land beginning at a point 1,915 feet west and 2,171 feet north of the southeast corner of Section 11, Township 24 North, Range 2 West, Second Judicial District

Qualified resort area designation allows facilities outside incorporated municipalities to obtain permits for alcoholic beverage sales if they meet tourism and hospitality criteria

The bill was sponsored by Representative Zuber and passed the House during the 2026 Regular Session, referred to the State Affairs Committee
