Amends Section 43-20-7 of Mississippi Code to change how the 12-member Child Care Advisory Council is composed

Removes current requirement that six members be licensed child care providers and six represent child care professional organizations, advocacy groups, associations, or state agencies

Requires all council members to be appointed based on recommendations from child care providers throughout the state

Maintains geographic distribution limit of no more than four members from any one state Supreme Court district

Takes effect July 1, 2026
