Prohibits health benefit plans, pharmacy benefit managers, and private review agents from denying coverage for FDA-approved antiretroviral (ARV) drugs for HIV/AIDS treatment on the basis of "not medically necessary"

Eliminates prior authorization and step therapy requirements for HIV/AIDS medications, though when multiple therapeutically equivalent drugs exist, insurers must cover at least one version per route of administration without these restrictions

Applies to all health insurance plans, Medicaid fee-for-service, and Medicaid managed care programs in Mississippi

Amends existing insurance code provisions to ensure HIV/AIDS drug coverage requirements supersede conflicting step therapy and prior authorization statutes

Takes effect July 1, 2026
