Authorizes a one-time, five-year service life extension for fire trucks operated by municipalities, counties, or fire protection districts that have reached the current 20-year maximum service limit

Requires extended apparatus to pass annual comprehensive inspections by a certified fire apparatus inspector or authority approved by the State Fire Marshal

Apparatus must meet minimum safety standards for braking systems, pump performance, structural integrity, emergency lighting, and essential operational components

State Fire Marshal, in consultation with the Mississippi Insurance Department, will establish rules for inspection criteria, certification procedures, and documentation requirements

Extension is optional at the discretion of local governing authorities and effective July 1, 2026
