Removes language from Mississippi Code Section 89-10-5 stating that squatters who trespass or enter property without owner consent cannot accrue property rights based on that unauthorized presence

Retains the provision that only property owners or their designated representatives have the right to manage, control, or receive payments for use of real property

Deletes the specific reference to "short period of time" trespass and the explicit prohibition on squatters gaining property rights

Effective date is July 1, 2026
