Removes the automatic July 1, 2027 repeal date from the Mississippi Earned Parole Eligibility Act of 2021, making the parole eligibility provisions permanent

Preserves existing parole eligibility rules including 25% of sentence or 10 years (whichever is less) for nonviolent offenses and 50% or 20 years for most violent offenses

Maintains parole ineligibility for habitual offenders, sex offenders, capital murderers, first and second-degree murderers, human traffickers, and drug traffickers

Continues geriatric parole provisions allowing inmates age 60 or older who have served at least 10 years to be considered for parole, with exceptions for violent and sex crimes

Takes effect July 1, 2026
