Eliminates adverse possession as a means of acquiring land title in Mississippi, providing that adverse possession for any period of time shall never vest title to any person

Removes the current 10-year continuous possession requirement that previously allowed occupants to claim ownership of land

Deletes existing protections for individuals with disabilities (minority or unsoundness of mind) that allowed extended time to file claims

Removes provisions related to fence and driveway encroachment notices filed with the chancery clerk

Takes effect July 1, 2026
