Extends the repeal date for the City of Ripley's hotel/motel and restaurant tax authority from October 1, 2026, to October 1, 2030

The tax allows Ripley to levy up to 2% on gross proceeds of hotel and motel room rentals and up to 2% on gross proceeds of restaurant sales

Revenue must be used exclusively for promoting tourism, encouraging retired persons to remain or relocate to the area, industrial and economic development, and parks and recreation facilities

The Mississippi Department of Revenue collects the tax and retains 3% for administrative costs before remitting the remainder to the city

The original tax authority was established in 2008 and has been extended multiple times (2011, 2014, 2017, and 2021)
