Authorizes sheriffs and deputy sheriffs in Mississippi counties with populations of 150,000 or more (based on 2020 census) to use radar speed detection equipment on county roads and highways outside municipal limits, excluding interstate and state highways

Requires county boards of supervisors to formally authorize radar use by adopting an order entered into official minutes before sheriffs can exercise this authority

Mandates that all revenue generated from radar speed enforcement be used exclusively to fund school resource officers or law enforcement officers assigned to schools within the county

Grants the Department of Public Safety authority to investigate reported abuse of radar equipment and remove radar devices from offending sheriffs and deputies if abuse is confirmed

Takes effect July 1, 2026
