Appropriates $6,000,000 from the State General Fund to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety for salary increases and state-funded fringe benefits for active sworn officers

Covers officers in four law enforcement divisions: Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and Capitol Police

Funds are designated as financial support specifically for salary increases authorized by Section 45-1-12 of the Mississippi Code

Appropriation applies to fiscal year 2027, running from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027
