Amends Mississippi Code Section 97-5-39 to expand the definition of contributing to the delinquency of a minor

Adds two new offenses: knowingly causing any child to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Law, and knowingly causing any child to participate in gang or gang-related activities

Violations are classified as misdemeanors punishable by a fine up to $1,000, imprisonment up to one year in jail, or both

Defines a child as a person under 18 years old, excluding those on active military duty or who are married

Effective date: July 1, 2026
