Proposes amending Section 273 of the Mississippi Constitution to update initiative petition signature distribution requirements based on the current number of congressional districts rather than the previous fixed one-fifth (1/5) formula

Requires that signatures from any single congressional district cannot exceed the total required signatures divided by the number of congressional districts in existence when the petition is filed, based on the most recent federal decennial census

Maintains the existing requirement that initiative petitions must be signed by qualified electors equal to at least 12% of votes cast for all gubernatorial candidates in the last gubernatorial election, collected over a 12-month period

Scheduled for voter approval on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November 2026

Addresses the practical issue created when the number of congressional districts changes, ensuring signature distribution requirements automatically adjust to reflect current district boundaries
