Warren Central High School Vikings defeated Hattiesburg High School Tigers 56-34 on December 5, 2025, at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville to win the MHSAA Class 6A State Football Championship

The championship was the Vikings' first state title in 31 years and the program's third overall Class 6A championship, following titles in 1988 and 1994

Head Coach Josh Morgan led the team, which amassed nearly 500 total yards of offense in the championship game after overcoming a halftime tie with a dominant second-half performance

The City of Vicksburg presented the team with a key to the city in recognition of their historic achievement

The Mississippi Legislature formally commends the team and directs copies of the resolution be sent to Coach Morgan and the Vicksburg-Warren School District superintendent
