Charles Cross, a native of Laurel, Mississippi, is commended for being a member of the Seattle Seahawks team that won Super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026, defeating the New England Patriots 29-13 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Cross played football at Laurel High School, was selected for the Clarion Ledger's Dandy Dozen, and attended Mississippi State University where he was named to the SEC All-Freshman Football Team as the starting left tackle.

The Seattle Seahawks selected Cross ninth overall in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, and in January 2026 he signed a four-year, $104.4 million contract extension with $75 million guaranteed—the largest deal for a non-quarterback in franchise history.

Cross earned the second-best pass-blocking grade (85.3) of any offensive lineman in the 2026 playoffs according to Pro Football Focus, helping secure the Seahawks' second Super Bowl Championship in the franchise's 50-year history.
