Harold D. Miller III ("Hal Miller") is being commended upon his retirement on July 1, 2026, after more than 53 years of service to the trucking industry

Miller began his career in 1973 at Miller Transporters, a family-owned tank truck carrier, eventually becoming Executive Vice President after graduating from the University of Mississippi in 1983

After 30 years at Miller Transporters, he became President of the Mississippi Trucking Association and served as Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors in 1994-1995

Miller received recognition as one of Mississippi's Top CEOs by the Mississippi Business Journal in 2018 and the American Trucking Association's President's Leadership Award in 2025

The Mississippi House of Representatives extends gratitude for his distinguished service and wishes for his retirement with his wife of 43 years, three sons, and six grandchildren
