Picayune Memorial High School Maroon Tide Cheerleaders won the 2026 UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship in the Small Varsity D2 Non-Tumbling Game Day Division on February 8, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, competing against over 80 programs nationwide

The squad also won the 2025 MHSAA 6A Varsity Game Day Division State Championship on December 13, 2025, at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson

First time in school history that the varsity cheerleading program has held both state and national titles simultaneously in the same season

The 17-member squad is led by Captain Kinsley Grays and Co-Captain Addison Watts, under Head Coach Jessica Smith and Assistant Coach Caroline Nichelson

Resolution directs copies be furnished to the cheerleading team and Capitol Press Corps
