Commends the Wayne Academy Lady Jaguars Softball Team and Head Coach Dusty Hillman for winning the 2025 MAIS Class 3A Division II State Softball Championship, the first softball state title in school history

The team defeated Bowling Green School of Louisiana 6-5 in Game 3 of a best-of-three series, winning 2-1 on their home field

The Lady Jaguars overcame a 2-7 start and six-game losing streak to finish the season with a 19-14-1 record

In the championship game, the team rallied from a 5-2 deficit in the sixth inning by scoring four runs to take the lead and secure the victory
