Coach Gregg Perry is retiring as Athletic Director at Germantown High School at the end of the 2025-2026 school year after 30 years of service in Mississippi education and athletics

During 15 years at Germantown High School, Perry's golf teams won five men's state championships (2014-2016, 2018-2019), three women's state championships, and the first-ever 5A Girls State Championship in 2018

At Madison Central High School, Perry's baseball teams won nine district championships, five north state championships, and two state championships, compiling a career head coaching record of 322 wins and 81 losses

Perry received numerous honors including Jackson Metro Coach of the Year (2002, 2009), National Federation of High School Coaches Coach of the Year for Mississippi (2015, 2016), and Athletic Administrator of the Year (2025)

The Mississippi House of Representatives formally recognizes and commends Perry's dedication and service to Germantown High School and Mississippi athletics
