Dr. Marie Hamilton-Abston and Essie Davis-Florence are co-owners of Hamilton-Davis Mental Health, Inc. and Hamilton-Davis Care at Home, Inc., which provide mental health services, home care, substance abuse treatment, and services for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Mississippi.

Dr. Hamilton-Abston is recognized as Mississippi's first African-American owner of an opioid treatment clinic, providing withdrawal management services for chronic opioid addiction.

Hamilton-Davis Mental Health, Inc. received the 2015 Black Enterprise Community Pillar of the Year Award for services that enrich lives.

The co-owners operate 12 business establishments including medical supply, adult day care, transport, assisted living, a K-12 private academy, auto sales, and cosmetics companies.

Dr. Hamilton-Abston holds a doctorate in health administration and appears on the OWN reality series "Belle Collective," which premiered in January 2021 and reached Season 6 in October 2025.
