Gulfport High School Admirals Football Team won the 2025 MHSAA Class 7A State Championship on December 6, 2025, defeating Tupelo High School 21-20 at Davis Wade Stadium in their first state title in school history

The team finished with 12 consecutive wins after two early season losses, setting program records for most wins in a season and most points scored (514) while going 6-0 in region play for their first district title since 2019

The championship was decided by a last-second Hail Mary pass from quarterback Parker Nettles to wide receiver Mylan Stubbs with two seconds remaining, followed by Carter Platt's extra point after time expired

Running back Cooper Crosby was named Most Valuable Player after scoring touchdowns on runs of 20 and 54 yards

Head Coach Blake Pennock led the team to their first state championship appearance in 43 years, supported by 15 assistant coaches and Athletic Director Matt Walters
