Abbey Harty, a 22-year-old from Edam, Saskatchewan, was crowned Miss Rodeo Canada 2026 in December 2025, recognizing her dedication to rodeo and western culture promotion

Harty overcame a 2018 ATV accident that resulted in partial arm amputation, returning to rodeo competition after multiple surgeries and years of rehabilitation

She serves as executive member and Social Media Manager for the University of Saskatchewan College Rodeo Team and sits on the board of the Canadian College Rodeo Association

Harty works in healthcare at a long-term care facility while pursuing nursing at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, with plans to obtain a master's degree in dementia studies

The Mississippi House of Representatives formally commends Harty and directs copies of the resolution be sent to her and the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association
