Coach Larry Tyrone was inducted into the Vicksburg-Warren School District Athletics Hall of Fame in late 2025 as one of nine individuals selected for that year's class.

Served as a coach for track and field and football at Warren Central Junior High School and Warren Central High School from 1982 through 2017, a 35-year career.

Founded the school's first competitive eighth grade track team in 1982 and served as assistant coach and offensive coordinator for varsity football, contributing to state championship victories in 1988 and 1994.

Recognized for developing athletes' skills and character through his demanding coaching style, helping guide numerous players to college football opportunities.

The Mississippi House of Representatives formally commends Coach Tyrone for his leadership and positive influence on generations of student-athletes.
