Mississippi House of Representatives honors Jack and Jill of America, Inc. on the occasion of their Legislative Day at the Capitol on February 16, 2026, themed "Amplifying Our Voices"

Jack and Jill of America, Inc. is a national organization of African-American families founded in 1938 by Marion Stubbs Thomas, comprising 262 chapters across seven geographical regions

Mississippi has three chapters: Jackson Mississippi Chapter (first chartered in the state), Mississippi Gulf Coast Chapter, and North Mississippi Chapter

The organization's legislative initiatives include access to healthy food, free mammograms, blood pressure and cardiovascular checks, swim lessons, financial literacy workshops, mental health initiatives, voter registration, and scholarships for low-income communities

Resolution copies to be furnished to chapter leadership including Presidents Mona Arnold-McBride, Kutina Carter, and Lillian Morris-Hilson and their Vice Presidents
